As an Apprentice Watchmaker, you’ll receive hands-on training in the meticulous craft of fine watchmaking, while being immersed in a fast-paced, high-end luxury watch retail environment. You’ll be part of a tight-knit, supportive team where each individual plays a vital role in delivering world-class service to our discerning clientele.
Working alongside experienced watchmakers, you’ll gain valuable insight into the inner workings of mechanical and quartz watches, while contributing to the repair, servicing, and restoration of prestigious timepieces.

The role of an Apprentice Watchmaker & Polisher – Luxury Watch Retail:
- Learn to disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble watch movements.
- Perform high-quality case polishing, refurbishing, and restoration with precision and attention to detail.
- Assist in servicing and maintaining a wide range of luxury timepieces, ensuring each watch meets the highest standards.
- Develop your skills in diagnosing and troubleshooting common and complex watch issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workshop environment, following best practices and ensuring the protection of delicate timepieces.
- Collaborate with a passionate team, dedicated to delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced, client-focused retail setting
The requirements for the Apprentice Watchmaker & Polisher – Luxury Watch Retail:
- A genuine passion for horology and a strong desire to learn the art of watchmaking
- Previous experience with mechanical systems or working with small, intricate components (whether through hobbies or prior professional experience) is an advantage but not essential.
- You could be an ex-Armed forces or RAF engineer with a passion for watches.
- Excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and a natural aptitude for working with fine mechanical work
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and within a team
- A keen interest in the luxury watch market and an understanding of the fast-paced nature of high-end retail
