Emma and Tom Dempsey were honoured to attend the Barnardo’s Young Supporters Concert at the iconic Royal Albert Hall. They were graciously invited as guests of Lynn Perry MBE (CEO at Barnardo’s) and Kirsty Guy, (Senior Manager, Major Appeals and Initiatives at Barnardo’s) in recognition of Tom’s contributions to the Firecracker Ball, which raised an incredible £220K for Barnardo’s this year.
The evening was a heartfelt celebration, raising vital funds to support Barnardo’s services that empower young people, carers, and families to lead happy lives and achieve their full potential.
Over 900 Barnardo’s young supporters from school choirs across the UK gathered for an unforgettable evening of music, supported by the world-renowned Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The atmosphere was electric as they performed inspiring renditions of songs like Roar by Katy Perry and This Is Me from The Greatest Showman.
Hosted by Barnardo’s President, TV presenter, and journalist Natasha Kaplinsky OBE, the program also featured stunning performances by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, including Glasgow Love Theme from Love Actually, the themes from Superman, Indiana Jones, and Jurassic Park.
The night reached its peak when the children experienced a dream come true, performing Proud alongside the legendary Heather Small.
It was a truly magical evening, showcasing the power of music and community to transform lives.
