Beautiful Recruitment proudly supported the 23rd annual Firecracker Ball, held in aid of the renowned children’s charity, Barnardo’s. This highly anticipated event took place this November at the stunning Rudding Park Hotel, where over 400 guests were transported to a magical midnight garden.
The evening was dedicated to raising funds for Barnardo’s in Yorkshire. Every penny raised during the event will contribute to the charity’s vital work, which benefits hundreds of children, young people, and their families in the region. Barnardo’s supports the local community through specialised projects, including family support services, assistance for young carers, and resources for children with autism and additional needs, among others.
Beautiful Recruitment is proud to have played a role in supporting this incredible initiative, making a difference in the lives of many vulnerable children and families in Yorkshire.
Tom Dempsey, Director of Beautiful Recruitment and Chair of the Firecracker Ball committee, expressed his gratitude:
“Every year, I wonder how we’ll top the last, and yet, every year, the incredible dedication of our committee and the overwhelming generosity of local people as well as those who travelled from further afield amaze me. Their support ensures we can make a difference for such a wonderful cause.”
Lynn Perry, Chief Executive at Barnardo’s, said: “We are extremely grateful to the committee and everyone involved in this year’s Firecracker Ball, for their incredible efforts in hosting such a spectacular and memorable evening. And of course, we would like to thank all the attendees who were so generous with both their donations and support for the work that Barnardo’s does.
“Barnardo’s is incredibly proud to support children no matter what the circumstances, and to make sure that their voices are heard and respected. Right now, our work is vital. Thousands of parents across the country are struggling to feed and provide for their children. Around nine children in every classroom are about to face the winter feeling hungry and cold. That cannot be right.
“The funds raised from this year’s Firecracker Ball will go a long way to support our work with children and young people across Yorkshire, including helping to tackle the impact that poverty has on families.”
This year’s event raised an incredible £220K, bringing the total funds raised by the Firecracker Ball to an astounding £3.6 million since its inception.
A heartfelt thank you to all who contributed to this magical evening, making a lasting impact on children, young people and families across Yorkshire.
