As a company we believe in the importance of giving back to society. That’s why we actively engage with a variety of charities, with Barnardo’s being our chosen partner. Read on to learn more about our charitable efforts.

Tom Dempsey Operations Director and co-owner at Beautiful Recruitment sits as the chair of the board at the Firecracker Ball and gives his time freely to organise and secure sponsorship for the event.

The Firecracker Ball is now celebrating its twenty-first year. This remarkable immersive luxury event serves as a beacon of charitable giving, with all proceeds benefiting Yorkshire-based Barnardo’s Projects. Last year alone after a 2 year hiatus due to Covid, the event raised a staggering £210,000, and an impressive £3.4 million since its inception. To date, the ball stands as the largest single one-night fundraising event outside of London.

If you would like to sponsor this year’s event on 9th November 2024 we invite you to visit www.thefirecrackerball.co.uk or call Tom on +44(0) 203 9111 000 to pledge, donate, or book a table at this great event. Your support is genuinely appreciated, and together, we can make a real difference.

Ahead Partnership
Emma at Elrig

Emma works as a volunteer speaker and motivator/mentor with the Ahead Partnership whose aim is to connect the private, public, and community sectors to achieve mutual benefit from business growth, educational improvement, and regeneration. Her aim is to maximise the individual potential of young people and open up their eyes to the endless opportunities available to them within industries such as real estate, facilities management, science, cosmetics, FMCG, AI and retail to name but a few. She aims to inspire budding entrepreneurs and apprentices in areas that interest them. Emma hopes that through sharing her story and experiences she conveys the message that everyone has the chance to succeed whether they decide to continue in further education or alternate vocational paths, in retail, fashion, science or technology. Science is exciting, and there are countless career paths beyond the traditional research and development roles. Additionally, transitioning into the beauty industry as a beautician can be a great stepping stone to other positions, such as a sales representative or account manager.

Emma Dempsey, founder and Managing Director of Beautiful Recruitment, is sincerely committed to supporting young individuals aspiring to make their mark in their chosen careers. Vocational and apprenticeship based career paths can be just as recognised and successful as traditional graduate qualifications. If you represent a school, university, charity, or organisation interested in having Emma personally speak or meet with young people to discuss career options, provide CV advice, or share interview tips and techniques, please reach out to Emma. She is always willing to generously offer her time whenever possible.

Emma and Tom from Beautiful Recruitment were delighted to support Tom Kerridge and Andy Agar’s “Meals from Marlow” by attending the Pub in the Park Gala evening to raise funds for this worthy cause. The event raised over £60,000 that evening, with additional donations continuing throughout the event. These funds will help deliver meals to key workers and those in need in Marlow and surrounding towns such as High Wycombe, Slough, and Bracknell.

Meals from Marlow, initiated nearly four years ago during the pandemic, has already delivered over 200,000 meals to people and key workers in the region. Pub in the Park remains instrumental in supporting local communities, helping them thrive during challenging times. Councilor Mimi Harper OBE, recently elected as Chairperson of Buckinghamshire Council, also attended the event, showing her full support for the Buckinghamshire community. It was a fantastic evening that raised significant funds for a great cause.
