Role Purpose

Our client is a leading global provider of laboratory facility management and laboratory equipment maintenance services. They have been awarded the contract to undertake all the laboratory equipment asset management and maintenance on site in Southampton. As such they are seeking a Site based Analytical Instrument Service Engineer to undertake the laboratory equipment maintenance and scientific equipment service engineering on site. This position requires the Laboratory Analytical Instrument Engineer to be on-site five days a week to ensure that all the analytical equipment is up and running every day! There is a diverse range of scientific equipment from laboratory automation to bench top laboratory equipment and analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC-MS, Mass Spectroscopy so there is lots of PPM, planned preventative maintenance, trouble shooting and no two days will ever be the same! What You'll Do As the site’s Analytical Instrument Engineer, you will work within a team responsible for Maintaining and repairing the HPLC, GC-MS and analytical laboratory instruments to support the laboratory operations to a regulated standard. What You'll Need

  • Ability to commute/ work in Southampton on site Monday – Friday daily is essential.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Analytical Laboratory Equipment Engineering experience as an Analytical Instrumentation Engineer, GC_MS Maintenance Engineer or Laboratory Equipment Engineer, Lab Equipment maintenance technicians of Analytical Instruments namely GC-MC, LC-MS, Chromatography, Mass Spectroscopy equipment in a regulated laboratory, pharmaceutical or similar environment. Ideally you will have already calibrated/serviced/maintained/repaired Agilent, Waters, Thermo, Shimadzu or equivalent brands of Chromatography, HPLC, GCMS equipment or similar analytical instrumentation.
