In the role of Business Development Manager – Automotive Battery Solutions:
- Generate business leads and acquire contracts aligned with our strategic goals
- Develop and execute revenue-generating strategies to meet and exceed sales targets
- Create and implement capture plans for opportunities, ensuring successful closure
- Promote our client’s automotive engineering services to maximize sales potential
- Identify profit generation and cost control opportunities within our client’s customer base
- Strengthen relationships with existing clients to enhance business opportunities
- Maintain and update CRM systems to track sales opportunities and forecast
- Research and analyze market intelligence to support our client’s growth strategy
- Ensure high customer satisfaction by addressing client objectives and concerns
- Monitor competitor activities to maintain market leadership and value for customers
- Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and tender responses
- Represent our client at industry trade shows and client events
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations
The requirements for the Business Development Manager - Automotive Battery Solutions
- At least 5 years of experience within a commercial/sales/business development environment in battery technology for the Automotive/Motorsport engineering services sector
- Qualified in relevant engineering discipline to at least NVQ 4 level or equivalent
- Demonstrable experience of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
- A proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close with a strong business sense and industry expertise
- A good network of contacts within the Automotive/Special Vehicle Operations/Motorsport Industry
- The ability to communicate and present credibly and influence and negotiate
- Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Must be willing to travel nationally and internationally when required
