In the role of Business Development Manager – Automotive Battery Solutions:

Generate business leads and acquire contracts aligned with our strategic goals
Develop and execute revenue-generating strategies to meet and exceed sales targets
Create and implement capture plans for opportunities, ensuring successful closure
Promote our client’s automotive engineering services to maximize sales potential
Identify profit generation and cost control opportunities within our client’s customer base
Strengthen relationships with existing clients to enhance business opportunities
Maintain and update CRM systems to track sales opportunities and forecast
Research and analyze market intelligence to support our client’s growth strategy
Ensure high customer satisfaction by addressing client objectives and concerns
Monitor competitor activities to maintain market leadership and value for customers
Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and tender responses
Represent our client at industry trade shows and client events
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations

The requirements for the Business Development Manager - Automotive Battery Solutions

At least 5 years of experience within a commercial/sales/business development environment in battery technology for the Automotive/Motorsport engineering services sector
Qualified in relevant engineering discipline to at least NVQ 4 level or equivalent
Demonstrable experience of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
A proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close with a strong business sense and industry expertise
A good network of contacts within the Automotive/Special Vehicle Operations/Motorsport Industry
The ability to communicate and present credibly and influence and negotiate
Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Must be willing to travel nationally and internationally when required
