The role of Field Service Engineer – Valves:

The role of Field Service Engineer – Mechanical Pumps & Control Valves:  

  • Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and assembly of Process Control equipment with a focus on mechanical pumps & automated control valves
  • The role will consist of a mix of repair and service work both in the workshop in Cork (circa 40%) and on customer sites in Ireland (circa 60%) with circa 2 overnight stays per month
  • Trouble shooting and repair of customer products and providing accurate repair reports
  • Operation of company related equipment such as Forklifts, Tools & Testing equipment
  • Responsibility for meeting related workshop schedules in coordination with company requirements
  • Ensure appropriate safety guidelines including the use of personal protective equipment are adhered to
  • Upkeep / maintenance of workshop – Including company Tools, Equipment & Assets
  • Adherence to companies ISO 9001:2015 Quality, and Health & Safety procedures
    The requirements for the – Mechanical Pumps & Control Valves:  
  • Circa 5 years of experience in a Maintenance Technician, Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, Field Service Engineer or equivalent
  • You will have proven experience of carrying out fault finding, repairs and servicing of mechanical pumps and/or valves or related process control equipment
  • You will have a strong background in Mechanical Engineering, ideally with a formal qualification in this area
  • Self-starter with the ability to work on your own initiative and, also as part of a team
  • Technical problem solving & trouble shooting ability
  • A flexible and innovative approach to work
  • Excellent interpersonal / communication skills
  • The ability to work with people at all levels of the organization both internally and externally
  • The ability to write detailed reports such as site visits, repair reports
  • Ability to travel in Ireland with overnight stays on occasion
        Salary & Benefits:  
  • Negotiable Base Salary (DOE)
