Reporting to the Outpatients Manager, you will be part of a small, forward-looking department with the latest ophthalmic equipment, including IOL Master 700 and the latest edition Humphrey Visual Field Analyser. Specialist areas offered include cataract surgery pathways, age related macular degeneration assessment and treatment pathways and ocular-plastic pathway.
This role is ideal for someone who is keen to develop their skills by working alongside experienced Ophthalmic Consultants to deliver an outstanding Cataract Service for patients.
Our Client offers outstanding training for their Optometrists, so you can be an integral part of the patient’s cataract pathway, to be able to 1st consultation appointment to list the patients for surgery, as well as to provide follow up and routine appointments for the Consultant led elective ophthalmic services.
What we’re looking for in you:
You will be a GOC registered Optometrist, with:
- Experience in the pre and post assessments of patients referred for refractive surgery
- Knowledge of ophthalmic surgical care provision and knowledge of Ophthalmic disease
- Be able to independently prescribe and skills to deliver first appointments on a cataract pathway.
